After Huge success of Windows 7, Microsoft demonstrated their new upcoming Operating system with an name 'Windows 8'.

Microsoft says :
"A Windows 8-based PC is really a new kind of device, one that scales from touch-only small screens through to large screens, with or without a keyboard and mouse."

The Amazing New User Interface

The video below introduces a few of the basic elements of the new user interface in Windows 8

I personally Recommend you to watch this Video. Microsoft has come up again with an super User Interface for its New opertaing system.

Though the above video shows the Windows 8 for only Touch Screen, its not so.

Microsoft says :
"And this isn’t just about touch PCs. The new Windows experience will ultimately be powered by application and device developers around the world — one experience across a tremendous variety of PCs. The user interface and new apps will work with or without a keyboard and mouse on a broad range of screen sizes and pixel densities, from small slates to laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, and even classroom-sized displays. Hundreds of millions of PCs will run the new Windows 8 user interface"

An Amazing Copy Paste Experience

The Microsoft have taken care of the copy paste jobs very well in the upcoming Windows 8. Some of those copy paste features (Which i liked most) are

  • New design to resolve the Multiple Copy conflicts
  • The New 'Pause', 'Resume' and 'Stop' options while copy pasting
  • The Detailed Real Time graphs for Copy-Paste Process with Copying Speed

Whenever there is any conflict of Duplicate copies of file while copying, User gets an option to choose the files [See the Image Below]

Happy Independence Day

"The Hindustan Times Newspaper Published on 15th August,1947"

<Credits>

"Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is lead forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action-
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake."

"GEETANJALI" -Rabindranath Tagore

Important Tips for an Interview

The 'Interview' has become an Compulsary stage for getting through any of the professional Job. In Interview, your Body language and Confidence speaks lot more, than 'what you speak' in the interview.

Here are some Tips which can really improve your performance in interview

These are scripted by JITO for UPSC candidates, but these will certainly help in any Interview.

  • There are generally 5 members at the board with the Chairperson seated at the center.Enter confidently and greet the chairperson, who will probably welcome you, and pleasantly nod at other members. Wait till you are asked to sit.

    • Wait for few seconds till they tell you to sit, if they don't tell, you yourself ask "Shall i take a Seat sir? and sit."

      • Maintaining Eye contact is very important. You should not glare but all the same appear attentive and do not glance at other members, it can be very distracting for the interviewer. However if some other members asks you anything, look at that member and answer and turn back to the first - this is what we do in normal attentive listening.

        • Do not fidget or throw hands around, or shale your head. Less amount of movement does not mean you should sit unnaturally stiff. Your posture should be attentive and relaxed at the same time. Do not crouch/bend forward or place hands on the table.

          • Cut your answer short to the required patience shown by the member talking to you.They usually like to talk more, so listen carefully and think for a few seconds before you start answering the question. This will show that you are organizing your thoughts in mind before starting to speak.

            • Leave some room for difference in opinion. Do take a stand, but do not look adamant or unwilling to appreciate the board's opinion.

              • Use couple of words from the question while answering any question. It shows you have listened to the question carefully. But at the same time limit the use of technical jargon. Listen very carefully. Come to the central issue of the enquiry immediately.

                • Do not start evaluating your performace while still in the interview. Even if you have commited mistake in the beginning, do not think you have already lost the game. The are looking for warm, respectful and attentive youngsters. The know you are good.

                  • Talk Humble about your achievments and hobbies. You may have mentioned some hobbies in the form without serious background in them;it would be useful to have some basic info on the hobby

                    • Say less to convey more. Less is more these days as per the minimalist creed. Argue logically and generalise correctly.Do not Try to read too much between the lines.

                      • Remember, while answering any question, what is easy to see is easy to miss. We often tend to miss the obvious and go for some non-crucial aspect of the subject.

                        • Get up to leave only when the chairperson asks you to, not because you think everyone has asked a question,. Similarly, even if someone has not asked a question and the chairperson asks you to leave then please leave. Some members do not ask questions at all.

                          • Before leaving, thank the chairperson and not at the others politely. Avoid saying, "Have a Good day sir". A "Thank you Sir/Madam" is enough.

                          Remember, They are not interested in "What you know", they just want "What you are :)"

                          ALL The Best : )
