You get to see all these things within 3 minutes. As the video starts, you would see a man walking on his hands. As he walks, his child follows and soon a large number of people start following him. Another man starts calling fellow villagers to follow him. Within a minute, it has become a procession of sorts. He walks on dirty roads and farms of the village and villages follow him talking amongst each other.

The woman who has been silent until now questions the man standing next to him why people are making such a big issue on a child reaching 5 years of age. I'm sure, you would not have cared about it, as everyone are eager to login and book the tickets as soon as possible.

• The Indian CPC is always low compared to other countries. It may vary between $0.01 to $0.10. Let's consider the CPC as $0.05. This means, IRCTC earns $0.05 per click on the ads.

Now, CTR = 3% and CPC = $0.05, Daily Hits = 55 Lakhs

Hence,

• Total clicks per day = 55 Lakh * 0.03 => 1.65 Lakh Clicks

• Daily Revenue = Daily Clicks * CPC => 1.65 Lakh * 0.05 =  $ 8250 (4.5 Lakhs Daily)

• Monthly Revenue = $ 247500 and that's Freaking Rs. 1.30 Crore !!!

The CPC and CTR never stays constant throughout, It keeps varying. Here is an table which can depict the Monthly Revenue generated with different values of CTR and CPC

	CPC $0.01	CPC $0.02	CPC $0.03	CPC $0.04	CPC $0.05	CPC $0.10
CTR 1%	9L	18L	27L	36L	45L	90L
CTR 2%	18L	36L	54L	72L	90L	1.8Cr
CTR 3%	27L	54L	81L	1.08Cr	1.36Cr	2.72Cr
CTR 4%	36L	72L	1.08Cr	1.44Cr	1.80Cr	3.63Cr
CTR 5%	45L	90L	1.35Cr	1.80Cr	2.25Cr	4.50Cr

Have you ever thought about these mind boggling figures ? This is what IRCTC official website makes a Month. Think of the year !!

The question is : "Is Government making sure that this revenue is added up into Government lockers or as usual it goes into some personal pockets ??" !!

Note :
Though there is no official confirmation of these Revenue figures by IRCTC, but the official number of hits lead us to these values.

Chat Tricks to Get Mr.Bean in Chat

Amazing Timeline covers for Facebook

Its quite common that any user keeps the eye on the computer time when he books tatkal tickets, just imagine, what if your system's time is 1 minute late ? your system would show 8:59AM and it would be 9:AM on IRCTC and the tatkal bookings would have been started.

So, Synchronize your computer time to the IRCTC timing.

2. Use Station codes  [Very Important]

This is a very important tip which can definitely save your lot of time. Generally what people do is, Suppose they want to book a ticket from Bangalore, they type 'Bang' and wait for the pop down menu which will display the list of matched stations, out of which you can select one.

This wastes a lot of time and that definitely will lose your chances to book an tatkal ticket.

Best Method :

Indian Railway has alloted station codes to each and every station.
For example :
SBC is for Bangalore
ADI is for Ahmedabad

You just type the station code in the Station name, select date, class and press Search. No need to wait for that pop down list, at all !
You can search for the Station codes here

-->
3. Add Master List of Passengers into your IRCTC account

You can create a master list of all passengers who are likely to travel on the tickets booked by you, so that while booking tickets you can easily input data from this list.

Whenever you are booking a tatkal ticket, no need to type their name, age and other details, as you can select that directly from the list which would definitely save your precious time

4. Keep all the Details ready with you

Its always an good idea to type all the information as 'Name' and 'ID' number into a notepad, so that you can directly copy paste into the irctc booking window and save your time, while booking the ticket.

Even the payment options as Card number, Name of the card holder etc can be typed temporarily into notepad, so that you can copy paste that and the booking can be done faster.

[Note : Don't keep the credit/debit card details saved on pc, it may be harmful]

5. Use the Magic Fill to fill the information

The Magic tool created by Amit Agarwal can really do the wonders to save the precious seconds while booking the ticket.

ctrlq.org/irctc is a tool which can be used to add the passenger information. Just before say 10-15 minutes of booking, open the link, add up the information and click 'I'm feeling lucky'. You will get a Magicfill button on the bottom right corner of the window. Just drag it to bookmarks of your browser.
