M.S.Dhoni : The Man Towards His Dawn!

When a long haired, muscular body holder cricketer entered the team in 2004, no one would have imagined that he would come a long way to become one of the legendary captains and cricketers of all time.

With his initial power-packed knocks like 183*, he got established as the hard hitters of the games.

When Indian team was badly knocked out of the world cup in 2007, all the players had to face a big-time anger. Ranchi saw nightmares when M.S.Dhoni's under-construction house was damaged,

Soon after that, A complete young team was sent to South Africa for T20 world-cup under the captaincy of M.S.Dhoni. Unexpectedly, the team bought home the World-Cup & that's when Dhoni became the poster boy of India.

He had no look-back then. He bagged all : #1 ranking in Tests and ODIs, the CB series, The ICC World Cup in 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013.

Dhoni has seen a lot of ups and downs in his career. He has earned himself immense fame and he's also seen equal amount of criticism from his own soil. He has been criticized several times for his performance overseas in the longer format, his gambles and his team selection.

Dhoni gave a shocking moment to the nation when he announced his retirement from the longer formats suddenly without any press conference nor any fuss. The man went away as silent as he entered cricket.

This man has never been publicity hungry. It's always been difficult to read his inner mind. He never showcased the storm inside. He suppressed it with the a smile & calm outside.

Now when the team India was playing against Sri lanka, Dhoni was having a much needed break with his family. He also had training with Indian Army. He experienced the sky-diving as well. Looks like he has started living for himself after the years long cricketing journey.

Looking at his ICC World Cup 2015 & IPL 2015 performance and the Chennai Super Kings match fixing controversies revolving around him, it looks like the Man is towards his dawn!

Dhoni is unlikely to play the next world cup in 2019, but what he would definitely eye is the T20 world cup this year. This man has given a lot to the cricket. He has groomed the young players to become mature enough to take the Indian cricket forward.

Dhoni in his own word says “I play for the enjoyment of the game and the day I decide to go, I will pack my bags and happily go away.”

Undoubtedly the current journey is towards the dawn of his career, but his dedication for the game and achievements for the nation will always be remarked in the golden book of history forever.

Now, let him celebrate himself as a Wicket-Keeper, Batsman, Captain & yes a Cricketer. Who knows when will the team get another small town boy to be equally big to take his footsteps.
