AAKASH - The Cheapest Tablet PC

The world wide market with lot of branded tablet pc's around, IIT Rajasthan has come up with the cheapest tablet ever.
Given the name AAKASH, it is manufactured by the Datawind Ltd.
The Official website says " The objective of Aakash tablet is to deliver high quality, personalized and interactive knowledge module over the internet. The tablet is low in cost but rich in features. It is also integrated with social networking applications like facebook, twitter and with email."
The Aakash is upcoming with two of its versions, Student and Commercial.
Student Version to cost just Rs.1600
The Main Specifications of the Commercial one are :
- 7" touchscreen with :800×480 pixels resolution
- Inbuilt GSM Phone in it
- Internet anywhere at Rs98/2GB
- 2GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB
- 256MB RAM
- 366 MHz proccessor with HD video and graphics accelator
- Android OS, v2.2
- Price: Rs. 2999
Market Release Dates : By Late November,2011
