Today, when I logged into my gmail, a pop up appeared which was quite interesting, "Send Free SMS to Mobile phones"

The SMS which gmail sends to your friend, its sent from a 10 digit mobile number, to which, user can reply easily for Free (if SMS pack is activated)

How to Send SMS

  1. Open Gmail and Login
  2. In the Left side chat list, Type the mobile number of your friend and save it.
  3. Now, Select the Send SMS option and type the message and hit enter

SMS Credit System (Free)

SMS credit is an allocation of SMS (text messages) that you're able to send to a mobile phone:

  • Initially, you're granted a credit of 50 messages.
  • Every time you send a message, your credit decreases by 1.
  • Every time you receive an SMS message in Chat (for example when a phone user replies to one of your messages) your credit increases by 5, up to a maximum of 50.
If your SMS credit goes down to zero at any point, it will increase back up to one 24 hours later. So, you won't ever be locked out of the system.
